In the new terminal of Korkyt Ata Airport, 90% of the lighting is automated.
Lighting control solutions are implemented in key passenger movement areas: the main hall, border control zone, waiting area, arrival zone, CIP zone, boarding bridges, and the faсade lighting is also managed.
Lighting Control via Helvar 905 and 910 Controllers with Integration into BMS via Helvar 435 BACnet Gateway
As a part of the lighting automation at Korkyt Ata Airport, the lighting control system based on Helvar 905 and 910 controllers has been integrated into the building management system (BMS) using the Helvar 435 BACnet Gateway. The integration is implemented using Honeywell CentraLine software, with the Jace 8000 as the main controller.
A total of 24 lighting groups were created. A Map Points structure was then built in the web interface of the BACnet Gateway. Afterward, integration was carried out by connecting to the Helvar 435 BACnet Gateway using CentraLine. Once all necessary groups were displayed, a small logical sequence was developed to manage the groups and receive feedback signals from them. As a result, control is carried out, and feedback signals are displayed on the BMS computer screen.
Lighting group control is performed using predefined scenes configured in the Designer software. For operator convenience, airport zones are clearly marked on the BMS graphical interface, mirroring their representation on the touch panel control pages. This allows the operator to easily identify each zone and visually monitor control processes in real time. Such an approach provides the operator with a comprehensive overview of the current lighting status in different parts of the building and enables quick adjustments, enhancing the efficiency and responsiveness of the entire system.
